Did you know every child should have their first orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7?
Our First Look provides a comprehensive initial evaluation to ensure your child’s orthodontic health. At this appointment, we evaluate any current needs or needs for the future.
Here’s what to expect at that appointment:
- Photos and X-rays of your child’s teeth, followed by an evaluation of their teeth, jaws, and airway.
- Consult with Dr. Julie Langguth to review the results and discuss findings.
Why is Early Detection Important?
Some orthodontic problems are easier to treat when identified early.
At Annapolis Orthodontics, we are committed to being as conservative as possible when it comes to early treatment. However, in some cases, orthodontic issues are best managed if caught sooner. Key problems to identify early include:
- Impacted Teeth (teeth erupting in the wrong spot)
- Prolonged Thumb or Finger Sucking Habit
- Crossbites
- Underbites
- Mouth Breathing
