Dr. Julie Langguth completed her D.M.D. in her hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Nova Southeastern University. She then attended orthodontic residency at the University of Maryland where she also earned her Master’s degree and worked as part of the cleft palate team at Johns Hopkins. In 2006 and 2007 she completed two fellowships at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and has publications from her work at the NIH.
After completing her education, Dr. Langguth spent several years at a state-of-the-art private practice in Northern Virginia while her husband served at Quantico Marine Corps Base and the Pentagon. She has extensive experience treating Invisalign and Invisalign Teen cases. She is well-versed in the use of digital scanning in place of impressions and in the use of 3D imaging to better diagnose orthodontic cases.
Dr. Langguth also has a special interest in how breathing and airway affect jaw development and is a continual student of this ever-developing topic. In addition, Dr. Langguth has completed numerous hours of continuing education at the Spear Center and the Dawson Academy.
Dr Langguth is married to Dr Devin Langguth, an '01 Naval Academy graduate and they have two children, Vera and Silas.
